In preparation for the upcoming release of PGenerator 1.3, we advise users to update their current DeviceControl Interface.Release Notes
Added the possibility to search inside the textarea.
Added the function to change field position in Template/Memory Modify Interface.
Optimized the selection of Local and Cloud memories.
Changed Cloud Dir path (now is not present inside Memory dir but in conf/device_name).
Added the possibility to disable Cloud Visualization in Modify Options.
The credentials for http authentication now are different from those of Cloud and are configured with http_credentials=username:password in device.ini.
Fixed a bug in modifying textarea memory field.
Fixed a bug in scroll page.
Fixed a bug that delete lock file during startup.
Fixed a bug when more than one device is opened in DC interface.
Now password is memorized locally with hash in base64 (for using DeviceControl multi-pc, copy credentials.ini to all the devices where it is installed).
Some minor updates in web interface.
How to update my current DeviceControl Interface?
Click at the '?' -> About Program:
DeviceControl will check for newer releases:
Click at the Download icon:
Click the icon to proceed with the installation.
The installation will take only some seconds, you will see the following msg:
Click at the icon, close DeviceControl/Browser, and re-run.
Click at the '?' -> About Program; to see that your DeviceControl is running the latest version, which confirms that the update was successful.
The above instructions are applicable to users who have already installed DeviceControl in their system.
How to make a fresh installation DeviceControl Interface?
For new installations of Device Control, you can download them directly from the links provided below:
Download DeviceControl Interface Installer with Strawberry Pearl 64-bit (required if you have 64-bit Windows OS)
Download DeviceControl Interface Installer with Strawberry Pearl 32-bit (required if you have 32-bit Windows OS)
It's recommended to download the DeviceControl Interface Installer with Strawberry Perl since it will install the same Pearl version we used for testing.
Download DeviceControl Interface (Stand-Alone-Version)
Using Stand-Alone-Version, it will require you to install Strawberry Pearl for Windows (32 or 64-bit) manually from here.
When you install Strawberry Pearl manually, 126.96.36.199 is the maximum supported version.
For new installations of Device Control, please follow the instructions linked in the first post to set up and create a free user account.
