We do not normally say much about our on-going development...
But, it is also very unusual for us to not have new ColourSpace releases every few weeks or so.
Consequently, we've had a few users ask what's on-going?
Well, we are in the middle of two rather huge developments.
The first is a Mac native version of ColourSpace, which is progressing very well - but as can be imagined is a very large project.
We do not have timescales for any release, but the plan is for internal Mac testing in within this month.
(When available, any user presently using Windows emulation on a Mac to use ColourSpace will be offered a free swap to Mac Native.)
Please note - there may be differences with Mac operation, due to differences with Mac drivers for supported hardware, etc.
We have no idea what that actually means as yet.The second on-going development is a total re-write of probe integration, as that is the last of the hangovers from LightSpace.
The first probes to have their integration re-written are the Colorimetry Research probes.
With the new integration we will be able to offer a lot more probe options and control.
This is also a very large development project, but is progressing well, and we should have a new ColourSpace release shortly.
We will then sort the outstanding issues related to the recent change to Extended range operation.
(This will include the final part to automated 'burnt-in PQ HDR' calibration, full integration with PGen, and much, much more...)
