LG and Light Illusion have agreed a partnership to add ColourSpace integration to LG's EP950 and BP95E UltraFine family of displays.

Display hardware, and the required LG API/SDK have been provided by LG, and the integration development work will begin shortly.
Hopefully, the next ColourSpace release will include direct integration for these LG displays.

ColourSpace INF/XPT/PRO/CAL/LTE will include the integration, and as usual all existing customer licenses will be updated for free.

That's good news, but I was under the impression that the EP950 did not allow for interal 3D LUTs and only had 1D + Matrix. Is this the case?

Calman was using 1D LUT and matrix for SDR only; it's a Calman engine limitation.

The LG EP has internal 3D LUT for SDR and HDR10.

ColourSpace will use LUTs for both SDR and HDR10.

That's great! Thanks for the info, Ted.

Hi Steve,

That's great news to hear. Hopefully this can lead to LG providing Light Illusion API/SDK's for consumer panels in the future(I know ColourSpace has LG TV integration but it'd be good if LG would work with you on this in the future). What is the difference between the EP950 and BP95E models? Is it just that the BP95Ehas the built in probe? From my understanding they are the same panel, is this correct?

Thanks.

Aaron.

BP has an additional sun hood, a built-in colorimeter (not going to use it), and a different stand
