Calman G1 TPG - issues...

Not that I intend to get one, as I no longer use Calman, and find PGen ideal for my use.
But discussions on other forums seems to show there are some rather serious looking problems.
Reports include inaccurate patch values, with random changes to the output values when resolution is changed.
And a recent comment that a delay of 4 seconds is needed for HDR?
With the instability issues with many TVs when using HDR - screen heating - that seems a real problem.

And Calman have removed access to PGen to force their customers to purchase the G1 - which is just a poor alternative to PGen, being based on a similar micro PC, at an inflated price.

Have to say, I've had a look at some of those reports...
6 to 7 seconds per patch in HDR...
And the random changes in patch values with different resolutions would be a show-stopper.

It doesn't look good, especially when you compare the costs to PGen.
(And the greater functionality of PGen with ColourSpace.)
And as for the removal of PGen support from Calman, to force users to purchase the G1...
