Am getting a security threat warning with the latest download?
Trojan:Win32/Wacatac.B!ml

Tried 2 diff pc's, my win10 and win11. The win11 just deletes the exe file as soon as unzip is done.

False Positive, as the provided Installation doc states.
Even Microsoft says it is a common False Positive.

Yup. False positive. I got mine from the same place you did, and it it downloaded and installed with no issues. I'm using Malwarebytes Premium.

You mean 224 8-bit, not 242. Is there reportable science behind this change?

No, I mean 242 as stated.
And yes, there is science behind the change.
It has to do with the following line in the change notes.

242 would be above White in Limited/Extended, and what I see displayed in the patch window is 224. Which line?

Please do read the updated User Guides.
As it states there, the 242 8 bit value is for Full Range, obviously.
When using Legal Range the value will be scaled accordingly - as it always has been.
(The same with different bit depths.)
