LightSpace + Murideo Six-G for Dolby Vision calibration

Hi,

I've just had a Murideo Six-G arrive and I was looking to configure it and LightSpace for a DoVi calibration on my Panasonic GZ2000. I can see the options for the various HDR10 metadata option in LightSpace but, there's no option for DoVi. So I'm guessing what I want to do isn't possible with LightSpace?

Cheers,

Paul

There are differences with the SIX-G when used with LightSpace vs. ColourSpace.
And there are restrictions with what the SIX-G can do.
(Have a look at the ColourSpace SIX-G page for additional info.)

But, you can set any of the SIX-G menus directly, and those settings will then work with LightSpace/ColourSpace.

Hi Steve,

Thanks for getting back to me. What I take from your response is that LightSpace doesn't support DoVi, using the Six-G but if I want to spend some money, ColourSpace does. I checked the ColourSpace guides out yesterday, before I posted my question, so can see how nicely it works there.

As I only require manual calibration facilities, would ColourSpace ZRO allow me to use the Six-G for DoVi calibration?

Cheers,

Paul

If you are unable to enter the DoVi information into the SIX-G directly, it will not work regardless.
You need to know the DoVi VSIF data, how ever you are using the SIX-G.
With ColourSpace we have just brought those commands inside the software.

Having said that, we have an agreement with Dolby to enable the required VSIF data to be set within ColourSpace automatically.
That will be added to an upcoming release.

OK, thanks for the explanation.

I've just checked the functionality matrix and can seen neither ZRO nor DPS can drive the SIX-G. which is a shame.

Cheers,

Paul

Yes - you will need ColourSpace HTL minimum.
