Some more news.

BenQ appear to have located and fixed the issue within their SDK!

We now have an internal test version of LightSpace using the new SDK, with updated BenQ firmware in the PV270, and all seems to be working as it should...

We hope to update the release of LightSpace with this new SDK in the coming week.
Any BenQ PV270 user will also need new display firmware from BenQ.

Note: According to BenQ only the BenQ PV270 display has suitable 3D LUT capability, so is presently the only BenQ display that can be calibrate with LightSpace.

The final BenQ integration has now been released in the latest version of LightSpace.
With the correct display firmware all is now working as expected (but it is very slow, so be patient!).
If any issues re encountered, make sure the correct FTDI driver is installed withing Windows.
(The dll is distributed within LightSpace, but may need to be 'installed' manually.)

Do you know where the firmware is available? Can't find it on BenQs website and with a with a lightspace calibration how well does the display perform?

You'll have to contact BenQ directly I guess?
They have actually not informed us how they intend to distribute the firmware update.
And the PV270 is not at all bad when accurately calibrated.

The firmware is (to my knowledge) not available on the official website yet. Hopefully soon.

But i got hold of a version direct from BenQ. You can download it here, incl. pdf with guide:

Hi, thanks for the download link, I tried the procedure but I didn't get my PV270 firmware updated. Created a usb stick as FAT32 and followed the instructions, but nothing happened when powering up the monitor. Any ideas what could be done?

Sorry, I think you need to talk to BenQ directly.
We do not provide any BenQ firmware ourselves, and cannot comment on firmware provided by third parties.

Hi all,
Can the Asus monitors even if not explicitly said use a 3D Lut through their calibration software. This software is used to recalibrate their monitors.

Kind regards

You should ask ASUS directly.

At the moment there is no 3D LUT capability with ASUS displays.
But, ASUS have been in contact with us, and are looking into the possibilities.

Steve could you comment on the contradicting info about real hardware LUT BenQ is giving here?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz9y3db9vRI

See my comment there.

Thanks Hans

A hardware LUT is just a grey scale 1D LUT.
That is then combined with an ICC, or possibly a 3x3 matrix in the display.
See: https://www.lightillusion.com/icc_profiles.html

The only BenQ displays with viable 3D LUTs are the ones listed on our website, and that are therefore LightSpace capable.
https://www.lightillusion.com/benq_manual.html

That information id from BenQ themselves.

Thanks you so much!

Very detailed infos. Learning a lot here.

Did you by any chance test the SW321C and can validate this having a native 10bit (not 8bit+FRC) panel?

No, we did not test for the bit-depth.

Is the SW321C fanless by your testings?

Sorry for bugging you but this one seems a bargain at 2k USD...
