Has anyone used the LUT capability via the BKM-17R for calibration? reading the ops manual and brochure it seems to imply it can be done.

No Sony can be User Calibrated with a 3D LUT.
LUTs can only be used for 'looks', concatenated with any existing display calibration.

Sony ONLY provide for 1D Grey Scale user calibration.
It is a major reason why we do not recommend any Sony displays.

Thanks Steve. I was thinking whether it was viable to put the User LUT over the native setting in the monitor. ie profile in native, create lut to rec709 for instance and use that as a 'look' calibration lut.

As there is a 'concatenation' process locked into the image path, that seems to not work as expected.
If you have access to the Sony display, testing would be the only way to verify.
Do let us know the results of any test performed.

Yes I will, although in true Sony fashion you need the extra control to be able to download the LUT. Maybe LS could connect to the HX310 in the future via the LAN as well?? I may have one next week to do, not sure whether they have the BKM-17R though.

If there is an SDK/API, it 'may' be possible.
Sony have never provided one to us, and we have asked many times...
