As far as we know, based on the information BenQ have provided us, that display doesn't have 3D LUT capability?

I should add, some news - we hope!

We seem to have eventually got a viable 3D LUT (combined with 1D LUT) working with our BenQ display and LightSpace.
We've just released a LightSpace update (a full release not a beta version) with the latest capabilities.
It can be downloaded via the normal website request process.

One word of warning, some of the first users to test this (and the previous ) version have reported that their displays report 'Does not have 3d LUTs'.
This may be a display firmware issue?
(LightSpace will interrogate all displays when connecting to them to make sure they have 3D LUT capability.)
We are waiting on information from BenQ regarding this.

Regardless, the calibration is working here, and BenQ have also tested and report the same.

Please do let us know any user findings.

It surely does as per specs published and reviews: https://www.benq.com/en/monitor/photographer/sw320/specifications.html

Let's hope they did not lie in marketing material. I have 30 days to return.
I wouldn't even bothered if it didn't have 3D LUT.

If you connect the latest release of LightSpace to the display, it will tell you if there is a 3D LUT or not.

Ok, I have the SW320 on my desk. It took only 13 days from the day I ordered....
Obviously I did not win the panel lottery so it will go back.
If you want me to verify if it works with Lightspace I need a beta or something as I don't own a copy of Lightspace.

From what BenQ have told us there is no point testing that display.
It has no 3D LUT capability.
If you want to contact BenQ and verify with them, please do.

This is quite weird.
Benq marketing says all PhotoVue and VideoVue monitors have 14bits 3D LUT.
Maybe they have different types of implementation.
What is the use of developing your software to work with Benq monitors if it only applies to one model only.

When we started the development we were under the understanding that there were many displays within the BenQ range with 3D LUT capability.
We then discovered none had 3D LUTs, as we have commented previously.

We have worked for 2 years with BenQ to get something viable, and are now told only the PV270 display has a viable 3D LUT.

Hmmm, so the "14bits LUT" in Benq marketing is actually an 1D LUT and a 3x3 matrix?
And the PV270 is the only one with "real" 3D LUT.

You will have to discuss that with BenQ.
All the information we have is as stated above.

We will be running full tests on the PV270 we have in the next couple of days, and will report the results.

I fully understand that you can't comment.
This SW 320 is half magenta, half green. Moreover it has a diffuse black spot bottom center of the screen, sticking out like a sore thumb. Unbelievable.

I also received a SW320 and tested. However, I encountered a problem.
At any stage I can not unload the LUT.
I tried to upload and NULL.
I also tried to unload the LUT after profiling.

Every time I get error 'Does not have 3d LUTs'.

I studied the instruction https://www.lightillusion.com/benq_manual.html

But apparently something did not understand and did not see ...

I personally came to the representation of the company BenQ in Moscow and we watched with a technical engineer why this happens.
The firmware was the latest v003.
But the technical engineer does not know the program Ligthspace and therefore thinks that the problem of unloading LUT is on the side of the program ..

I continue to study this question, but unfortunately so far everything is very sad.

Alex, as I have said already in private emails, you have not 'read' the information on the page you linked to.
If you had read it, you would already know the answer to your question.
Following the 'instructions' is not the problem.
Reading the information is.

Steve, or anyone with experience with BenQ, any word on the performance of the 32 inch model in this line?

Does it have the ability to upload 3d Luts from Light Illusion?

How well does it calibrate?

Please see: https://www.lightillusion.com/benq_manual.html
As it says there:

"The BenQ PV270 is presently the only display in the BenQ range with 3D LUT capability, and can therefore be calibrated via LightSpace CMS.

Note: BenQ must provide new firmware for any PV270 display to be 3D LUT capable, and due to an unresolved issue with their API/SDK have yet to release the new firmware."
