Display LUT in FCPX?

Hey everyone,

When grading in FCPX, say, using colour finale, what would be the best way of using a display calibration LUT? Example: calibrate display - create LUT - use it as my first layer? Or does FCPX have this feature, or is there another plugin I am unaware of? I'm thinking of ditching resolve.

Thanks,
Ron

Any calibration LUT should be associated with the display, not the grading system.
Ideally, within the display, or an external LUT box.
Some grading systems allow the a calibration LUT to be used at the very end of the image chain, so as close to the display as possible.
With FCPX we have no idea what options are offered - you need to ask on an FCPX forum really.

Thanks Steve! Resolves display LUT option is viable though, right? Low $, so I have an LG 31mu97 I am trying to make the best of. Perhaps I'll stick with resolve, but will check in with FCPX forums.

Thanks again

Yes, the output LUT, or Display LUT option in Resolve works fine.
A lot of LightSpace users work that way.
