Hello

I don't know if I made something wrong or missed a step, but I cannot find the way to see my probe (i1Display pro) in the menu Tools/Discoverable Probes. The only "offer" that I get is Virtual Probe. All other probes are greyed.

I tried to install drivers but it didn't changed anything. The Device manager from windows see it well, but not LightSpace.

I had a look at this topic http://www.lightillusion.com/forums/index.php?action=vthread&forum=8&topic=178&page=3 but
Running win 7 through bootcamp on a macbookpro.

Thanks for help.

Sounds like a corrupt installation possibly?
And assuming you have a valid license for LightSpace?

Un-install LightSpace fully, and delete the folder found at: C:\ProgramData\IProt

Then re-install and see what happens.

Hello Steve

I have a valid license. I also downloaded the last version of LS CMS.

I did as you advised me, and also un-install the xRite stuff, but still doesn't appear in the menu.

Before un-install I tried to use the probe with an other software, HCFR, and it worked well. So it might it's a conflict with Lightspace.

Any other idea?

No other ideas at all...
The probe works with LightSpace by default, so I guess there must be some form of issue within the PC - as you say possible a conflict?

Without seeing the PC hard to tell, but obviously it should all just work.
Not a lot of help I know - sorry!

I think I found a possible solution: I had a look at the license info and it seems there is a problem with my license.
All the activated features are red crossed. Should I send you the number by email so you can check if this is the core of the problem?

The red crosses mean you have not installed the license

If you go to 'license' and install the license details what do you get?

When I installed the last version of Lightspace and also when I re-installed it my license number was already there in the activation page at opening. So, the two times I validated and Lightspace opened directly.

Now if I go to License I have no option. My name and email appears first, then my registration code, the date (today), the expiration date (never) and the order date (13th january 2014). Last part is the (un)activated features.

You had once to re-set my registration code because I reinstalled lightspace on a different system. Since it never worked, but I was busy elsewhere so I didn't look forward until today. Should we re-set it again?

Yep - e-mail me the license number and I'll have it re-set again!

Did the license re-set work?

You normally get a message that says there is a license issue when that happens, so not sure if the re-set will have worked or not.

Hi Steve

I just tried again, erasing also the Iprot folder, but still I have the red crosses. A strange thing is that even if I deleted everything and uninstalled Lightspace, when I re install it again my license number is already filled in the activation page. So it seems that it's archived somewhere in the computer. Do you know if there is something more that I should delete?

Hi Mathieu,

I have just checked your license, and that license is only for the 'Main Component'...
It will not allow any Probe connection.

Have you updated the license at some time?

Hi

No I didn't update any license. But I don't understand what is the "main component". I thougt that I bought the full lightspace CMS. Isn't suppose to allow probe connection?
