Just obtained one of the new Xrite i1 DisplayPro Plus probes and cannot seem to get it to communicate with LightSpace. After opening the Calibration Interface, setup options is disabled for all choices of i1. Selecting the OEM probe does give the "Device is password protected" error. Any help would be appreciated.

The PLUS is a Retail version of the OEM probe.
(It is EXACTLY the same as the OEM version... no benefit at all!)
But, X-Rite limit the PLUS to only work with their software.

Thanks Steve. It appears that I was under the same misconception that many others have discovered the hard way. That being thinking that OEM versions of the probe would naturally be locked down to OEM versions of software, but that the "Retail" version would be universally compatible, because it is "The Retail Version".

Quite a disappointment to find out that this probe will not even work with software that is incompatible with the OEM probe, but compatible with the non PLUS version.

I would try to use the small workaround of "Ted" for the retail version.
If you have an account in the AVS forum send "Omardris" a PM.

We have been informed that the i1Display Pro PLUS does work with LightSpace using the available 'workaround'.
See HERE.
