In layman's terms, kindly define the following...

1. One light grade: I keep hearing this term on set, but I don't understand it.

2. Alpha Channel or The Alpha: What do people mean exactly when they're referring to this?

Many thanks.

A one light is a term from film grading where a single 'light' setting is used on all sequences - it is a form of Dailies.

An Alpha Channel is a 'key' channel, used for compositing to isolate elements.

Cheers.
