Computer Techno is a mystery because LightSpace is now running on my both PC without I know the reason about it.
The big difference of behavior with regard to yesterday is that the button 'Probe Options ' remains 'greyed' when the probe is not connected while previously it was activable (As if the software saw a phantom probe).

The connection of the probe activates then its recognition.
I am going now to read attentively the documentation to understand the possibilities of your software.

Unfortunately my friend Le Dahu does not still manage to run his own version of LightSpace.

If you have 'un-ticked' the Virtual Probe in 'Discoverable Probes', the 'Probe Options' button will be greyed-out with no probe connected.

If the Virtual Probe is ticked the Probe Options button will always be available.

I finally succeeded.

After uninstalling, re-installing software and drivers again and again , and trying various procedure, the i1D3 probe S/N suddenly appeared in the probe window title and could work.
The probe was active and I was able to measure in the calibration interface. Quick profiling could be accessed as well.
But again the probe was not identify in the probe options window when opened from the "Display Characterization" window.
Very confusing.

"LightSpace DPS - Free Version" description says clearly that the only limitation of the Display chararacterization is:
Any generated LUT data cannot be exported - to enable that a purchased LightSpace CMS license will be required.

which is not the case.

My mistake is that straight from the beginning I wanted to evaluate the characterization module which seems to be impossible with the current version.
Due to that, DPS does not allow to have a clear understanding of the full software and therefore offers a limited interest.

It has just been pointed out to us that the probe is not seen within 'Display Characterisation'...

This is an error, and we will do an update for the DPS version soon.
One of the more recent upgrades caused this, but we missed it.

Will be fixed soon.

However, Quick Profiling will give you very good feedback on any display.
Do not dismiss it as it is well in advance of alternative 'cube' calibration methods with other software systems.

As I match in HCFR my I1D3 with a ColorMunki Photo probe I tried to do the same with LS DSP.
So I do a fast profile with Active Probe/Reference Probe files modified manually.
The obtained results were the same with or without the Reference Probe files.
Is this function offered in LS DSP?

Yep - that function works.
Are you sure you entered the data correctly, and had the correct probe/display data selected in Ref and Active?

A new version of LightSpace has just been uploaded.

This has a fix for DPS version not allowing Display Characterisation.
Please download as normal, via the download registration page.

I hope so.
I will try again with the new version.
