Error: Connection failed to Asus

Hi!

I recently upgrade my HTL license to LTE to be able to calibrate monitors with built in hardware calibration capabilities.
Today I noticed a really strange and blocking behaviour. When a try to open an existing or start a new profile this error message appears: Error: Connection failed to Asus and when I click OK ColourSpace crashes. I tried to upgrade to the latest open beta but the problems persists.

This happens directly when I start ColourSpace without having anything connected to the laptop except power and WiFi, so no monitor connected. Earlier today I connected to PGenerator via the Network server without any issues.

I haven't gotten around to connecting to a monitor except my LG OLED as of now.

We'll have a look at this, a crash is never good. Very sorry.
I'm guessing you have auto connect turned on, and Asus was the last thing selected.
As a quick work around, you can find the config.ini file and remove the offending item.

It's usually in
C:\Users\<name>\AppData\Roaming\ColourSpace\config.ini
but changes depending where you installed it.

Look for
[DEFAULT/gui_hardware_options]
and remove the following lines
hardware_selected=Asus
hardware_auto=1

The software will create new defaults.
Hopefully this will get you running again. Make a copy of the ini first as well!
