Hello,

I got a strange problem, is wasn't able to calibrate a TV, because ColourSpace did not connect to the locally running Device Control. Something that has worked before. Maybe somebody is having an idea:

  • Using Windows 10 running VMWare Fusion on an Intel based MacBook with latest stable Monterey release.
  • Raspberry Pi connected via local Ethernet USB adapter.
  • Device Control was able to display basic information on the TV, e.g. the pattern for probe positioning.
  • In ColourSpace the IP address (out of 169.254. ...) was displayed correctly under "connected clients". Calibration Patterns was set to "Automatic".

Wenn I go to manual measure, no pattern is displayed, even no full white or anything.
Patch size is set to L60, with position 50 / 50 and area 36.

I have spent the entire evening getting this one connected, without any success.

Any help would be great.

Just seen, that this issue was named by end of last year. I need to probably update ColourSpace and PGenerator.

There was a ColourSpace update that enabled variable bit depth output for the Network Server. This required PGenerator to also be updated.

You just have to install the latest PGenerator ISO Image and it will solve your issue.

Yes, correct. As @liberator72 says, once you get the new PGenerator, it will work as before.

To be fair it was mentioned in the release notes at the time:
1.0.0.1292 – incremental changes [Mon 15th Nov 2021]
[...]
-- Added variable Bit Depth to the Network Server
(Any 3rd Party application using the Network Server will need to be updated by the manufacturer)

PGenerator is one of the applications using the Network Server, so that's why it had to be updated.

You are right, this was in the release notes, I just didn't stick the puzzle parts together.
