We have now verified ColourSpace integration with the ASUS PA32DC, and all is working as expected - according to the Dev. team.
I will have the display in my hands shortly, and will run in-depth testing.

I'll post my findings here.

Look forward to seeing your thoughts on this printed RGB panel Steve. It's awesome that this has complete ColourSpace integration making it more viable than the LG monitor using the same panel in my opinion.

The LG display using the same JOLED panel has no 3D LUT calibration capability - just 1D and a 3x3 matrix.
The ASUS has full 3D LUT capability, as well as direct ColourSpace integration.

Hi Steve,

Yes I am aware. I was saying because of the ColourSpace intergration the Asus is the better option in my opinion. As well as the 3dLut capabilities you mentioned.

Reception for test Tuesday 25th May of the LG 32 EP 950 Monitor
I thank Sebastien Collin from DID technology for helping me with this monitor and thank LG for their trust.
Early results in SDR really encouraging, this monitor is very stable.
Tested with LG and Calman software the results are good

.BUT , if you want to go a very very good result like loading a 3D LUT calibration, then you will need the COLOURSPACE Software from Lightillusion, a LUT case flanders or AjA style .
You can also use a BMD converter capable of loading Luts, but in this case you will have to apply modifications to the file of LUT to have a result that will be much more precise. I used a mini teranex sdi to hdmi 12 G

Sylvian's results do indeed mirror my findings with the ASUS PA32DC, and show that a 3D LUT really is needed with these displays - you can see the non-linear issues in the pre-calibration profile, which cannot be corrected with a 1D LUT and 3x3 matrix.

Here are some quick profiles of the ASUS PA32DC.

The Precal profile maps the profile data to the native response of the display, so you can see it's relative underlying accuracy.
The profile shows approx. the same level of underlying non-linear errors as Sylvian found with the LG, requiring a 3D LUT for accurate calibration.
(A 1D LUT and 3x3 matrix will produce 'ok' results, as Sylvian also found with the LG.)

The Postcal profile targets Rec709, and shows all verification measurements to be sub 1 dE2000.
(Ignore the Gamut Coverage value - I am using an unreleased Alpha, and the reported value is wrong.)

Taking a bit more time, especially with probe matching, suggests even better result will be possible.
(I did do a second run, and got an even better RGB Balance response, but there is something slightly weird happening there, which I am discussing with ASUS.)

Hi Steve,

Thanks for sharing this with us. It seems to be a very stable panel with excellent accuracy after a 3DLUT for SDR and rec709 at least. I see you have used the ITPG any thoughts on it's accuracy? Would you recommend a more bit perfect TPG like the PGenerator for example? I also see you have used a reference probe in the CR-100, have you experimented with the internal probe? If yes obviously the CR-100 will be a more accurate probe but any opinion on the internal probe?

I have used the iTPG, and external TPGs, and the results are basically identical.
(If you want to use smaller TPG size windows you will need to use an external TPG, as the iTPG is FW only.)

And the in-built probe is not yet functional with ColourSpace - we have not been provided an API/SDK.
However, I would suspect it will not be accurate, as with all other in-built probes.
(If it were accurate, there would be sub $100 probes available on the open market.)
