3DLUT manipulation: 3D signal

Hello.

Is there a simple way to generate a 3DLUT for 3D signal but from a display profile made in 2D mode ? For example the 3DLUT could take into account the offset due to the 3D glasses (but which offset ?).

Thanks.

You need to read the patches though the glasses

Hi Steve

Do you mean that I should do a new full profile through the glasses ? How can I do this with LS (Radiance allows doing this but I'm not sure that LS uses this feature) ? Or do you mean that I should read some particular patches to make an offset ?

Thanks

alex

When I've done this in the past I put one lens of the glasses in front of the probe when profiling.
You may need to do either lens separately and then run two LUTs - one for each eye - if possible.

Thanks Steve but it seems quite difficult. As I watch a 3D film about once a month I think that I'm going to keep the 2D calibration
