Hi Steve, Mike
thanks for your assistance!
but, how have you done a profile with the 'sim' as we don't support that probe (it's not suitable for accurate calibration)
Step-by-step, what I've done:
I've started LS w/o the licence in trail mode.
First I've done a reading with function Display Characterization
, named it "Test 1 - Full Profile with SimProbe
". Have performed a 2th reading via Quick Profiling
using the Calibration Interface
, named "Test 2 - Quick Profile with SimProbe
". Then my profiles were listet in the Manage Colour Space
I entered the licence (LS still running).
My two test colour spaces were still present at Manage Colour Space
Then I've opened Colour Space Conversion
I entered LUT Test 1
Settings: Source CS
, Destination CS
= "Test 1 - Full Profile with SimProbe
A message appeared "Colourspace Conversion Report: 74% within target gamut
Because of the sim probe data this should be ok.
LS has opened a new window.
I've choosen the 3D Cube Graphic Viewer
; the result looked ok to me (through the sim probe data I expected no perfect CS profile).
At this point I wanted to save my test LUT, thinking File
is the right way for doing this; but there is no checkbox for the Lumagen.
u need a USB-to-Serial adapter that WORKS WITH LS
My Lumagen connectivity:
I have a RS232 PCI card in my HTPC, and the XS3D is permanently connected as "COM4". IMHO that must be working with every solution.
So I tried File
, but nothing happened (I expected any control or message window).
I closed LS and check'd my Radiance using Calman -> was working fine.
I dug up my Targus PA088E USB-to-RS232 adapter (Philips FTDI chip set), and first tested it with Calman.
The XS connection was properly again (now COM3).
I've closed Calman / run LS - still no success.
What Ì'm doing wrong?
