Compensating for a colour shift caused by a front projection screen.

Hi,

I am fairly new to all this but managing to get some reasonable results so far. However I am getting some pretty poor low light level results and would like to measure from the lens as opposed to from the screen to see if this can be helped. I am aware that the coatings on some screens can affect the colour performance and I would like to correct for this in my measurements as best I can.

Is it as simple as measuring from the screen and then using this result as a reference probe when measuring from the lens or is it more complicated than this?

I am using a retail Xrite i1 Display Pro.

Many thanks,

Anthony.

Yes, using the 'screen' reading via probe matching, and direct from the lens should indeed work.
Worth testing at any rate!
