So, having pointed out the limitations of automated LUT building, here's where the reality comes in to play...
Not everyone is a golden-eyed colourist, and even some of them need to have a starting point to then build a final LUT, understand where the differences are between the automated LUT and the required level of calibration.
It is also very important that the underlying display devices are accurately set-up, or no LUT will ever work correctly, so some form of measurement probe is required to set the correct initial brightness and colour temperature.
And, this is where the full LightSpace CMS package comes into play.

When combined with a high quality colourimeter, such as the Hubble probe, LightSpace CMS is an ideal addition to any colour critical environment, and enables accurate brightness and colour temperature setting to be achieved via direct display device measurement, as well as automated LUT generation from measured display and film profiles.
As well as the Hubble, LightSpace CMS software also works with the PR-655/670, Minolta CS-200. Klein K-10, X-Rite Eye-One, Sencore OTC1000, etc..., probes.
